Daniel Venjean

In 1959 at the age of 14, Daniel Venjean founded his first Rock band and created his early paintings. The success of his first exhibition in May 1968 and the prize "Paul Boinot" from the "Ecole du Thouet" in 1969 were determining for his future career. Unbound to any trend of the moment he creates restlessly, in the privacy of his studio, the fancy world of his imagination now appreciated by numerous art experts.

Daniel Venjean shows respect for ancient texts and technics and carries on the tradition and knowledge of ancestral masters: Today, he is certainly one of the only artists who still make their own colors with cooked oils and boiled rabbitskin based paste. Once a year, he offers to the "Val d’ Isère" academy a lecture to explain his researchs on the meaning of colors and the secrets of painting.
